Facebook has definitely revised their Terms of Use. And it’s not at all favorable to the faithful FB users.

I agree to the comment above. If you have really good content, than it is nothing to be placed on any site out of your own control -> own domain and webhosting

To play devil’s advocate, I suppose they’re covering their bottoms legally.

Otherwise, they’ll have fat guys in living in trailers sueing them for breach of copyright over their rantings.

Facebook. What is that, still? In my friendslist are only Mike K., Jermeny A., J.K., Junkfood…no real names. Nobody use facebook for serious tasks any more. I can’t believe it too.

Removing the lines or not, changing the TOS or not, still will make Facebook lose its both credibility and trust from the users. Who wants to give the pictures, texts or anything he/she has to be their property anyway? I suggest, just don’t upload anything personal or important files to untrustworthy website. I can’t believe that such ‘big’ website do this evil thing.

This was really big news when it hit. I’d only been using Facebook for about 3 months by then. Do you know whether the policy has been changed back so that content posters retain rights rather than the Facebook folks?

well, that’s not so bad, a bunch of pictures of drunk people and a few favorites lists. if you use facebook for what it is supposed to be used for it shouldn’t be an issue. if you have real content, get a real site.
